Fishermans Walk is an historic green space near to both the coast and the busy shopping and traffic area of Southbourne Grove.

The Friends of Fishermans Walk (FFW) are a volunteer group of local residents committed to raising awareness and use of the Walk and regenerating it for the benefit of the community.

We are pleased to announce that Fishermans Walk has won its second Green Flag for 2011/12, awarded to well-managed parks and green spaces. The awarding body has commented: "The transformation of this once neglected site is due to the work of the local enthusiasm of the friends group and the support of the Council. They have achieved a welcoming small linear park for the local residents and shoppers from the nearby retail areas, and an attractive route linking the shopping areas to the seafront road and beaches."
